Allotments

Interested in an allotment?

Did you know that as well as being an excellent way to enjoy the outdoors, learn new skills and make friends… just 30 minutes of gardening on your allotment can burn around 150 calories, the same as doing low impact aerobics?

If managed properly, an allotment can produce enough food to supplement a family’s weekly shop, with fresh fruit and vegetables over the year. This does require hard work and dedication but even the smallest crop grown, is money saved from the supermarket… and you know exactly where the produce has come from.

Camborne is lucky enough to have 2 thriving allotment organisations in the Parish; one at Enys Road with the other located next to the scout hut in Pengegon. Both sites are fully subscribed and operating waiting lists, but have a steady turnover of members and a range of plot sizes / accessibility to suit all budding gardeners regardless of age or experience.
