On Thursday 30th January, a ‘Trees For Streets’ celebration event was held in the council chamber in the Passmore Edwards building. This national initiative aims to plant more trees in our towns and cities, and Cornwall Council’s ‘Forest for Cornwall’ team, in partnership with ‘Trees for Streets’ and Camborne Town Council is running a pilot in areas with low tree cover. Volunteers received their trees and planting advice, joined by Cllr Martyn Alvey and Camborne Town Council members. Plus, 60 more trees will be planted in Park Gerry this spring!
