Many thanks to The Camborne Branch of the Royal British Legion and all those who either participated or attended this year’s Remembrance Parade & Service, making it a very proud and moving morning, despite the somewhat ‘challenging conditions’. In addition, on 11th November, there was an Armistice Day service at St Martin & St Meriadoc Church.

Finally, on Monday evening the Mayor, Cllr James Ball met one of the ‘Poppies to Paddington’ trains at Camborne Station to hand over a Camborne Town Council wreath to represent the town at this annual event and the GWR video of this can be seen on their Facebook page at: https://fb.watch/DlqZYONh-U/

Lest We Forget.

The Camborne Branch of the Royal British Legion will be marking Remembrance at a series of events this weekend, starting with the Youth Remembrance Service at the war memorial on Friday, followed by the Remembrance Parade and Service on Sunday and the Armistice Service on Tuesday 11th November.

In addition, Camborne Rugby Club have graciously invited all veterans, RBL members and serving armed forces free entry to the home game vs Hornets RFC on Saturday 8th November on production of MOD 90, Veterans ID Card or RBL Membership Card. The Act of Remembrance is at 1350hrs which includes the Exhortation, Last Post, Minutes Silence & Kohima ahead of the kick off at 1400hrs. Poppy Appeal collection buckets will be available for donations.

The Camborne Branch of the Royal British Legion are launching this year’s Poppy Appeal in Camborne Tesco from 10.45am this Saturday (25th Oct).
