Over the next few weeks our team will be preparing the site by cutting back the surrounding bracken, bramble and hawthorn to 1m of the hedge line, leaving some cover to encourage nesting birds. In the new year, the cleared areas will be planted with a small number of fruit trees such as cherry & rowan and selected wildflower seeds will be sown to benefit pollinators and provide feed for birds and mammals.
