'Afina' Lantern Parade & Festive Market
Join us on Thursday 27th November in Camborne Town Centre for ‘Afina’ our annual Children’s Lantern Parade and Festive Market.
It all starts at 3pm with a Festive Market on Chapel Street, offering unique gift ideas and festive food and drink ahead from a dozen stalls ahead of the children’s lantern parade which will start in Tesco car park at 5.45pm.
All parade participants are asked to muster at Camborne Tesco car park at 5.15pm, for the parade to begin on a brand new route through the Town Centre from 5.30pm, heading down the length of Trelowarren Street, which will be closed temporarily to allow the parade to pass through. Many thanks to Tesco for hosting the start of the parade and they are so welcoming, there may even be a few treats for the little ones while they wait!
This year the lanterns will be Cornish themed and will include creations such as sailing boats, seagulls, tin mines and jellyfish and we are welcoming more schools than ever to join the parade, ensuring that the town will be beautifully lit by all the children’s amazing lantern designs, created by all the schools and colleges in the parish.
