Join Kehelland Trust’s for the 21st anniversary of their annual Apple Day which takes place from 11am-5pm on Saturday 11th October at Kehelland Horticultural Centre, Kehelland, TR14 0DD. Their Facebook event page states …

“Join us for everyone’s favourite Kehelland Trust annual event. Launched first in 2004, we are one of the longest-standing apple days in the County. We pride ourselves on a gentle, generator-free but masses-of-fun day focussed on celebrating orchards, apples and the communities that are built around living on and harvesting from the land. Expect loads of apple related activities, experts, exhibitions and workshops; from juice pressing to orchard tree dressing.

Plus traditional crafts, games, demonstrations and activities – working horses (and donkeys!), pigs, ducks and more, traditional crafts, wildlife organisations and charities and farmers market. Our bar will be serving local brews with a particular focus on craft cider (well, it wouldn’t be apple day without it..) We’ll have man-powered children’s rides, face painting and miniature traction engines and a lovely range of tasty food to enjoy from our own kitchen and special guests. Delicious Wishes will be on hand for ice-creams.

There will be live music all day, with a final throw-down at 5pm with a closing Ceilidh. We hope to see you in October. Cheaper, advance tickets are available by following the link below.”
