Park Gerry Gets The Go Ahead!!

We’re delighted to announce that planning permission has now been granted for the redevelopment of Park Gerry… a major step forward in creating an exciting new community space for Camborne.

The approved plans, backed by funding from Camborne’s Town Deal, will transform Park Gerry into a vibrant, inclusive, and accessible green space with facilities designed for all ages.

What’s included in the plans?

The regeneration project will deliver a host of improvements and new features, including:

  • A purpose-built skate park, co-designed with local young people
  • A modern multi-use games area (MUGA) for sports like football and basketball
  • A brand-new community pavilion, with flexible indoor space for events and changing facilities
  • Refreshed green spaces, footpaths, seating, and landscaping
  • A reinstated football pitch for grassroots sport and local matches

These exciting developments are designed to bring people together through play, activity, and connection, creating a welcoming and safe space in the heart of the community.

What happens next?

With planning permission now secured, behind-the-scenes work is underway to put the right structures in place to deliver the project. While we don’t yet have a confirmed timeline, a project overview and estimated schedule is available on our website for those who’d like to follow the progress.

We’re committed to delivering this important project with care, quality, and community at its heart and we’ll be sharing updates as things move forward.

For now, we’re celebrating this major milestone and thanking everyone involved in helping us reach it. Park Gerry is about to begin a whole new chapter and we can’t wait to see what it brings for Camborne.
