Councillor Vacancy
Following the resignation of Cllr Maud Kelly, we have issued ‘Notice of Vacancy’ for Trelowarren Ward. The 14 day period in which electors are consulted has now passed and there have been no requests for an election. Camborne Town Council has been invited to address the vacancy by co-opting a new member to the Council.
Councillor Vacancy Trelowarren Ward: Applications Invited for Co-option
Applications Close: 9am – Wednesday 4th June 2026.
Camborne Town Council is seeking to co-opt a new Councillor for the Trelowarren Ward.
Any person wishing to be considered for co-option should in the first instance apply in writing using the application form found below.
Submit completed forms by email to townclerk@camborne-tc.gov.uk or by post to FAO Deputy Town Clerk, The Passmore Edwards Building, The Cross, Cross Street, Camborne, TR14 8HA before 9am on Wednesday 4th June 2026.
Applicants will be invited to attend a meeting of Full Council at 6.30pm on Thursday 11th June in order to give presentations. The co-option decision will be made in the public session of this meeting. Please read the Co-option Policy for further information on this process.
