Ofwat Response to Camborne Town Council Vote of No Confidence in South West Water

Camborne Town Council formally declared a vote of no confidence and a ‘Petition for Special Administration’ in ‘South West Water’ in May 2026.

A letter to explain the Council’s position on the matter was distributed amongst various interested parties, one of which has formally replied.

‘Ofwat’, the Water Services Regulation Authority, is the body responsible for economic regulation of the privatised water and sewerage industry, has replied to Camborne Town Council (formally received in Full Council, June 2026).

Camborne Town Council has discussed and resolved it’s reply, which is of disappointment and dismay at this unsatisfactory response from Ofwat.

Camborne Town Council will be formally receiving an open letter from ‘South West Water’ in the public session of Full Council on Thursday 9th July 2026, starting from 6.30pm.
