Councillor Stuart Odgers was elected to the Council in 2009 and re-elected in May 2013.
Stuart was a member of the Amenities Committee, the Budget and Development Committee, the Planning Committee, the Awards Working Party, the Corporate Governance Working Party, the Risk Assessment Panel, the Staffing Working Party, the Christmas in Camborne Working Party, the Standing Orders Working Party, the Environment Working Party, the Parish Plan Steering Group, the Community Toilet Scheme Working Party, the Public Estates and Risk Assessment Panel, the Website Design Working Group, and the Heritage Sub Committee.
He also represented the Town Council on the following outside organisations; the Police Liaison Group, the Association of Larger Local Councils in Cornwall, Cornwall Association of Local Councils, Cornwall Council Local Planning Forum, Camborne Regeneration Forum, the Pengegon and Park an Tansys Residents Association, and the Troon Adit Working Party.
Stuart Odgers was a very active member of the Town Council, very passionate about making Camborne the best it could be, and was very sorely missed when he stood down in 2017. All Councillors and staff at Camborne Town Council would like to send our heartfelt condolences to his family.
