Holman Gardens Update – A New Green Space for Camborne!
We’re excited to remind you about the upcoming transformation of Holman Gardens, a brand-new community green space in the heart of Camborne! Last week we met with Kirk from KHC Groundworks & Civil Engineering, the team working on the site, to see how the project is coming along, watch on our Vimeo page here.
Located near Tesco on the former Holman factory site, this area is being carefully designed to provide a welcoming, accessible, and environmentally conscious space for everyone to enjoy.
Planned Features Include:
Grassed Amphitheatre: A beautiful terraced space perfect for relaxation and community events.
Accessible Pathways: Designed to provide easy access throughout the space.
Seating Areas & Picnic Benches: Creating inviting spots to unwind and enjoy the outdoors.
Wildflower Meadows & Sensory Planting: Bringing colour, nature, and biodiversity to the area.
Tree Planting & Cornish Hedging: Featuring large canopy trees and local planting to enhance greenery.
Bespoke Public Art & Heritage Features: Celebrating Camborne’s industrial legacy with specially commissioned metalwork at the entranceways, designed by Create CIC.
This project will transform a former brownfield site into a vibrant public space, honouring Camborne’s past while creating a sustainable and inviting future. We look forward to welcoming you to Holman Gardens in late spring 2025!
