HRH Princess Royal visits South Crofty

On Tuesday 5th May, HRH Princess Royal made an official visit to South Crofty tin mine to re-open New Cook’s Kitchen Shaft with the unveiling of a plaque. The Princess Royal was shown around different areas of the operation including the workshop, the water treatment plant, the winder house and the underground mine, which included travelling via the mine shaft cage. Following this, the Princess Royal met Cornish Metals staff at a reception event, which featured local dignitaries and representatives including 2 members of our Engagement Team, representing the Mayor, who was required to attend his Cornwall Council induction that day.

Many thanks to Cornish Metals for their official photos and for more coverage and photos from the Royal visit, head to their Facebook page.
