My name is Florence MacDonald and I am proud to represent the Roskear and Tuckingmill ward on Camborne Town Council. I have previously had experience serving on Carn Brea Parish Council and enjoy the rich history and culture that the area has.
One of the younger councillors, I am working mum with two small and very jolly children to keep me busy! I am a primary school teacher and musician and am passionate about supporting families and young people in our community.
I am also a Breastfeeding Peer Supporter and support families in Redruth and Camborne as a volunteer. I am an active Liberal Democrat campaigner in the area and work closely with our Cornwall Councillors.
My family first came to Cornwall when I was 5 years old and my father (a Scot!) was in the Navy. It is the only place I’ve ever wanted to be and I am passionate about protecting and celebrating its culture. I perform in various Cornish folk groups, have represented Cornwall abroad and am slowly increasing my Cornish vocabulary. Meur ras!
