Camborne Recreation Ground Playpark Retaining Wall Works Complete
Camborne Recreation Ground Playpark Retaining Wall Works Complete
Camborne Town Council is pleased to confirm that the essential works to replace the wooden retaining wall adjacent to the playpark at Camborne Recreation Ground have now been successfully completed.
The previous structure had deteriorated following a period of severe winter weather, general wear and tear, and instances of vandalism. Over recent weeks, the Council’s Amenities Team has undertaken extensive works to remove the old retaining wall, install improved foundations, and construct a new, more durable and robust replacement.
All temporary closures within the playpark have now been lifted, and the area is fully open for public use.
We would like to thank residents and visitors for their patience and understanding while these important improvements were carried out. The completed works have enhanced the safety, stability and longevity of the play area, helping to ensure that Camborne Recreation Ground remains a safe, welcoming and enjoyable space for children and families throughout the summer and beyond.
Camborne Town Council extends its sincere thanks to the Amenities Team for their hard work and dedication in delivering this project successfully and with minimal disruption. With these works now complete, the team will be refocusing their efforts on essential maintenance activities across the town councils assets, including footpath and verge cutting.
We look forward to continuing to enhance and maintain the facilities and green spaces that residents and visitors enjoy across Camborne.
