A Band Of Brothers Event in Falmouth

On Wednesday 11th December, Cllr Fox attended A Band of Brothers Cornwall ceremony in Falmouth at which Camborne Town Council was acknowledged for its recent support.
“A Band of Brothers works with young men aged 18-25 who are in the criminal justice system or at risk, helping to turn lives around through mentoring. Each young man spends up to 34 weeks with a volunteer mentor and participates in a variety of challenges, helping them to turn away from problem behaviour and addictions, improving their outlook, mental health and prospects. A Band of Brothers is a small charity dependant on volunteers donations but every £ donated saves society £77 in costs. More than that, lives are changed and lives are saved-the knock benefit to families, loved ones and society goes beyond figures.”
A Band of Brothers is the The High Sheriff of Cornwall’s (pictured) chosen charity this year for the difference it makes. To find out more and donate head to: https://abandofbrothers.org.uk/
